A Long Time Coming...

It was brought to my attention yesterday at the PAW 2015 Show that it had been many months since my last Blog report, this damn thing called work has gotten in my way and when I'm not working I'm either gaming, at shows or visiting the Grand Kids spread all over the UK and now one lot have emigrated to Australia!!!

Anyways I have had loads of games during the past few months and rather than writing full reports I propose to display in pictures with some captions some of the games played recently...

Loads of projects being started and completed, Firstly I had to convert all my Russian 15mm Infantry for the game ready for action for the Christmas Bash, took longer than I first thought, more figures than I thought...

Christmas bash 2014 with the Chuckadice Monday night game group played at Zob's was a Large Chain of Command Russian Front Early war game, Panjo and Colin were the Invading German's and myself Zob, and Andy were the Mother Land defending Russian soil... Jason game master and German armour command... Utter chaos ensued...

Initial Map set up and layout of board...
overall board from the South

Noeleski Woods, would become a blood bath...

Industrial area devastated by air attack and artillery prior to the game start...

Rural farmland in surrounding areas

Panjeski Farm and road from the West one of German entry points...

Russian Church, and Windmill on the hill, with other German entry road beyond woods...

Patrol Markers and German High Command looking confident...

Herr Edgecombe und Pengilly overlooking the patrols going forward...

Andys first wave of Russian Infantry advance into Noelski woods as the Germans above and below pile off of their jump off point in the village trying to stem the Red flow...

Zobski's and my Russian Platoons advance into the ruins to make a fortified position just as well as it held 3 of our jump off points11

2nd wave advance following up Andy's initial success albeit his Platoon was at 50%

Panjo's armour starts coming down the road led by a solitary 222 followed by light panzers...

German right flank, Colin trying to get round quick and fast on his m/b combo's?

Blood bath at noelski woods germans wipe out first Russian wave, but at a cost, we have lots more infantry to through into the fray, Colin Platoon doesn't!!

German infantry moving cautiously behind the woods in support of the recon 222... I send in a T26 to take on the 222 but miss the bloody thing...

Panjo then opens up with the 20mm and brews the 26 up!!! WTF....
Laugh it up, my face must have been a picture?!

Shock on the 222 from a AT rifle shot, but the PzII's are following up now and open up clearing the ATR team...

Andy deploys the T35 mobile pill box on the hill to lend fire support to his diminished Platoon taking the brunt from the German firepower, firing from the cover of the village...

However the second wave with engineers and SMG armed troops arrive to clear the village...

T35 takes out PzII !!!

German armor arrives in force on our right flank...

Revenge!! my Flame Thrower team ambushes the 222 with a squirt of fire...

Loads of tank fire plowing shock onto the PBI in the town...

T35 emerges on the Russian road entrance...

Third wave about to attack village when Colin tries to ambush with MG42...

Fourth wave following up!!!! But our morale is starting to fail us, we have consecutive turns where we have multiple morale fails!!!

With the German armour advance on our right, our army morale collapses and were are forced to retire from the field, we had the German right flank in our hands, our right flank was in the ruins in hard cover but unfortunately our morale failed us, it was a great game, with lots of fun and laughter had by all, thanks guys for the great day as usual, and thanks to Jason for putting the game on... Thanks to Zob for the venue and grub...
